Freestyle skiing includes moguls, aerials, and terrain park skills—combining technical turns, jumps, and fun features. It’s all about creativity, control, and confidence on the mountain.
Our programs welcome athletes typically ages 8 and up, with both introductory and competitive options tailored to age and ability.
Yes, athletes should be comfortable skiing parallel on blue terrain and riding lifts independently. They don’t need prior freestyle experience—just a love for skiing and learning!
The Intro program focuses on skill-building, safety, and fun in moguls and small terrain features. The Competitive program adds higher-level training, jumps, and participation in USSA-sanctioned events.
Training typically runs on weekends throughout the winter for intro and comp programs, with additional sessions on Tuesday nights for Comp Program athletes. On competition weekends, the host mountain opens their course for training on the Friday before the competition typically between the hours of 10am-2pm.
All training is held at Crotched Mountain based out of the competition center located to the left of the main lodge.
Consistent attendance helps athletes progress safely and confidently. We understand family schedules vary—just communicate with coaches if your athlete will miss a session.
