Intro to Freestyle
For Skiers Ages 8-14

The Saturday or Sunday Intro to Freestyle group focuses on the fundamentals of freestyle skiing which include competitive bump skiing and an intro to park skiing. As an intro program, there is also a focus on glades and gates as the training opportunities present themselves. This program is perfect for athletes who are looking to learn more about what competitive freestyle skiing is all about. Skiers should be comfortable on all trails at Crotched Mtn.
Lift access is required and not included in the program cost. A season pass or daily lift tickets will be required.

Freestyle Competition Program
This group will ski with a coach every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm with a one hour lunch break (lunch is not provided). Start date is typically the second weekend in December, weather and terrain permitting.

Athletes who are looking to join the program should be of an intermediate ski level, be able to make consistent parallel turns, and be comfortable skiing all terrain available at Crotched.
This program is for athletes looking to become competitive freestyle skiers. Our team competes in USSA sanctioned events including moguls, dual moguls, and aerials. We compete at both the A and B level of competition in USSA’s Eastern Division. USSA membership is required to compete. In taking part of this competitive program, athletes must be committed to training. An athlete’s readiness to compete will be at the discretion of the coaches. Athlete travel to competitions by parents is required and costs associated with competitions are not included in program cost.

Minimum skill requirement: One completed season of the Introduction to Freestyle program and/or Level 5 skiing ability. Note – if your child has participated in the Introduction to Freestyle program, it is highly recommended that you discuss your child’s readiness for the Freestyle Competitive Team with the Introduction to Freestyle Program coaches prior to signing up.
