Parent Expectations
At Crotched Mountain Freestyle Club, we value a positive, growth-oriented environment for all athletes. Parents play an essential role in supporting that mission. The following expectations help ensure that every athlete can thrive—on and off the mountain.

Support the Process, Not Just the Podium
-
Celebrate effort, progress, and sportsmanship as much as results.
-
Encourage your athlete to set personal goals and enjoy the journey of learning.
Respect Coaches’ Roles
-
Trust our certified coaches to lead training and competition decisions.
-
Avoid providing technical instruction during practices or events—let coaches coach.
-
Communicate concerns respectfully and privately, away from training venues.
Be a Positive Role Model
-
Model respect toward all athletes, parents, coaches, and officials.
-
Refrain from negative comments, criticism, or sideline coaching.
-
Demonstrate integrity and good sportsmanship at all times.
Promote Responsibility and Preparedness
-
Help your athlete arrive on time, properly equipped, and ready to train.
-
Encourage ownership of gear, schedules, and personal goals.
-
Stay informed through club communications and updates.

Support the Club Community
-
Volunteer when possible—events, fundraisers, or team logistics rely on family involvement.
-
Encourage a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families.
-
Represent CMFC with pride and professionalism, both on and off the mountain.
Prioritize Safety and Well-Being
-
Ensure your athlete is well-rested, properly fueled, and dressed for conditions.
-
Communicate any injuries, concerns, or absences promptly to the coaching staff.
-
Support a healthy balance between training, school, and downtime.
